Palm PDA alternative?

My trusty Palm PDA died today. I know PDAs are almost obsolete so can anyone recommend a good alternative? I use it mainly to schedule reminders and important dates. I don't want a Blackberry or Smartphone as the screens are too small, input is slow, and you have to pay extra for data.
