If the Raiders fire tom cable(And I pray to god they don't fire him) who will be the next raiders head coach?

It would be incredibly stupid, if the raiders fire cable. Even, though the they ended up with the same exact record as last year, but still, the team improved a little bit. The raiders absolutely love cable and they would be crushed if he were to be fired. If they need to get rid of somebody it should be Russell. With that talent that he has, strong arm, size, agility, and can run a little bit (this was back in his LSU Days.) he lacks work ethic and consistency. I remember watching the 2007 NFL Draft and remember NFL ysts say that he could very well be the next John Elway. Ha!! boy were they wrong. I believe I also remember hearing that I think it was Lane Kiffin that wanted to draft Calvin Johnson with the first pick instead of russell and pick trent edwards with the second round pick. Imagine, What the raiders would have been like if they did that. JaMarcus Russell reminds me a lot of Byron Leftwich. QB with size and a really strong arm and can run a little bit. Although he had some success in Jacksonville after losing his job to David Garrard 4 years ago. I hear alot of reporters saying that the raiders are most likely to fire Tom Cable and would be suprised to see him back as head coach. I hope this doesn't happen because he's the only coach willing to coach the raiders and he's also a good coach. I highly doubt that Bill Cowher, Marty Schottenheimer, or any other high profile coach would be sane enough to coach the mess that is the raiders (Die Hard Raiders fan BTW.) I really want my raiders to start winning again, but I don't see firing Tom Cable would help the team despite his off field issues (punching out his istantat coach, being accussed of being a woman beater, etc...) Firing Cable would make the raiders much much worse. I would really like them to get Herm Edwards to coach that team if cable were to get fired. Herm is a great motivator and knows how to run a team despite his coaching run at Kansas City. Over there he didn't have a whole lot to work with. All he had at was Damon Huard, Larry Johnson,and Tony Gonzalez and he ended up leading them to the playoffs his first season as head coach. Personally, I would really love it if he became the raiders next head coach, but I highly doubt it because I honestly think he knows better by staying away. If not Herm, then who, who will be the next head coach of the raiders if cable were to get fired?
