How much sugar is too much sugar?

What can eating too much sugar do to the baby? I'm so addicted to VERY sweet tea, skittles and anything sweet. Before i got pregnant, i never really cared for sweets but now it's like i want sugar SO BAD! What can too much sugar harm for the baby?
