Craigslist , PayPal shipping item? Help with this please ?

Okay, I posted an iPod on Craigslist for 130 dollars. A guy emailed me asking if he could pay me through PayPal and I could ship the item to Nigeria (apparently his grandson is doing a study overseas, i didnt ask much about it). He said he could pay me over PayPal.. I don't understand how this would work especially because I do not have a PayPal account. He offered to pay $230 for the iPod and this includes shipping the item overseas to Nigeria. What do you think about this? The guy lives about 2 states over apparently. How would I do this and everything? I dont trust anybody so I am very weary about the transaction and everything. What would you do? Advice? And how does PayPal work??
